Estimating
Discounts, tax, and payment schedules
Reconcile the contract total and installments before presenting a price.
Totals
Pricing rules may adjust scope line prices before the subtotal is calculated. Discounts and tax must be reviewed against that adjusted scope.
Money is rounded to cents. Excessive discounts must not create a negative contract total.
Tax and administrative charges can affect the amount due. Check the final grand total, not only the scope subtotal.
Payment schedules
Use fixed amounts, percentages, or remainder payments to describe the schedule.
The native editor rejects negative or nonfinite payments, percentage allocations above 100%, and displayed payments exceeding the contract total.
Remainder payments divide the remaining cents, with a final adjustment so installments reconcile. Recheck the schedule if you change scope or price.
A payment schedule describes amounts due; it is not proof of collected funds or a payment-processing integration.
